serial #860, 38 S&W, 3 1/4" barrel with a lightly frosted bore. This "Baby Russian" has a low serial number and great condition. The metal surfaces retain about 96% original nickel plate with most of the loss to pitting, mainly in the flutes, along with scattered light scratches, oxidation stains and few light impact marks. The hammer and trigger are mostly gray and the barrel latch has strong blue. The diamond checkered hard rubber factory grips rate very good with light handling wear and few dents on the diamond points. All appropriate parts and the grips are correctly numbered to the gun, timing and lock up are excellent and barrel-to-frame fit is tight. This early gun has the filler screw on the right side of the recoil shield that was originally drilled for the Aldritch hammer lock. An excellent condition first model.
