This is a very high condition Pocket model in a very special deluxe French fitted casing. The revolver has all matching numbers including the wedge, the grips are period but the number is illegible. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with just the slightest high edge wear and a very small amount of light flaking. The cylinder also retains 95% original blue finish with all of the crisp cylinder scene visible and four of the five safety pins remaining perfect. The frame retains 95% original color case-hardened finish which has softened only slightly and has a wonderful honest appearance. The brass gripstraps retain 98% original silverplated finish showing a rich blue tarnish in the protected areas. The one-piece ivory grip rates excellent with wonderful rich color and being slightly shy of the straps like most ivory grips which have a tendency to shrink as they dry out and age. The interior of the case is lined in a rich burgundy baize which shows proper age and remains in excellent condition with wear in contact points as we would expect to see. This little pocket is in spectacular condition, even on the highest condition percussion Colt's cylinders tended to flake due to the rolled scenes, this cylinder shows no such flaking.
