serial #54293 V9, 20 ga., 26" ventilated rib barrels choked improved cylinder and modified with bright excellent bores. The barrels retain about 97% original blue, the loss is due to overall even fading and toning to a somewhat plum-blue, with light muzzle wear. The frame and its attendant metal retains a similar amount of original blue, perhaps 95-97%, with the engraving still crisp; the trigger retains perhaps 60% flaking gold plate. The checkered round knob pistolgrip buttstock rates very good to very good plus with some minor dings and handling marks from the years and a bit of oil soaking where it meets the frame and a some areas of lightly crazing finish from the years. The field style forend is similar showing a bit more oil soaking and some oxidation where it meets the forend iron, also with a very small crack along its left lower edge. The arm has been fitted with a 3/4" solid recoil pad providing a 14 1/4" length of pull. Lockup remains tight and the gun seems to function well mechanically. A handy small bore lightning superposed overall that really needs to go back afield. (38591-2) {MODERN} [Kendrell Gregware Collection] (1800/2200) SOLD FOR $2,070.00
