serial #41111, 32 WCF, 24" round barrel with an about very good bore showing light oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this rifle retain about 92% reapplied glossy blue with some areas thinning to silver and gray along the lever, barrel and magazine tube, some small dings, scratches and remnants of cleaned light pitting underneath the newer finish. The markings have softened a bit from the metal preparation but remain very legible overall. The straight grip walnut buttstock and forend remain in about very good condition as refinished. The forend shows some filler repairs on the left side including a 2 1/2" sliver at the top edge and a 1 1/2" x 1" patch at the rear. The stocks show some further light scratches, a small ding on the right side of the butt and handling marks, the forend is a little loose and the buttstock shy where it meets the frame. The rifle is sighted with standard semi-buckhorn rear and silver blade front. Although heavily refinished, this rifle may make for a good shooter. (138476-66) {ANTIQUE} (400/600) SOLD FOR $1,092.50
