serial #13447, .30 Gov't '06, 24" nickel steel barrel with a very good to near excellent bore. The barrel of this 1927 produced rifle retains about 60-65% original blue with overall fading, more pronounced toward the muzzle end with minor pinprick pitting and oxidation along its length. The receiver retains about 98% original matte finish with the bolt knob and body showing only minor wear from use. The checkered walnut pistolgrip stock with schnabel forend tip rates good to near very good with scratches and flakes in the finish along the toeline around the rear sling swivel to the buttplate. The grooved steel buttplate is heavily oxidized and sits proud of the wood. The rifle is sighted with its standard gold bead front sight and two leaf folding rear.
