.62 cal, 50 3/4" octagon barrel with flared muzzle with a lightly oxidized bore and secured by one brass and six hammered iron capucines. The metal surfaces are mostly a mix of gunmetal and gray patina with some spots of old light pitting, scattered oxidation staining and some cracks in the thin metal here and there. Many of the metal surfaces show some light geometric engraving that is softening throughout. The Mediterranean hardwood stock remains in about very good condition showing some light chipping at the edges along the barrel, a thin 1" crack behind the lock and light handling marks. The stock features some attractive inlaid panels of antique bone that show nice dark patina throughout. There is a crack through the face of the frizzen but it is still intact and the lock still functions quite well at full cock. The musket is sighted with a crude rear notch and decorative front post that has worn down some and an iron ramrod is included. Overall a very attractive antique Moroccan arm with a lot of character.
