serial #5894635, 30-06, 24" 8-55 dated Springfield barrel with a very good plus bore that shows a couple small spots of light oxidation. The metal surfaces retain 75% arsenal parkerized finish with some light oxidation staining on receiver, some silvering on the exposed edges and overall fading to gray. The walnut stock rates very good with a faded DoD eagle cartouche, a crisp circled "P" firing proof, a yellow paint rack number that reads "C-49 SIG BN", a 3/4" grain crack on the right side of front handguard, scattered light dings and handling marks. The safety is marked simply with a "U" but all other parts appear to be correctly of post-war Springfield manufacture. A CMP gray hardcase is included with this rifle. A fine example of a post-war Springfield Garand. (208678-21) {C&R} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1,380.00
