serial #5649k, 9mm, 4" barrel with a mostly bright very good plus bore showing a few small spots of light oxidation. The metal surfaces of this 42-dated pistol retain about 97% original blue with some light high edge and operational wear, a few small dings, light scratches and some areas toning to plum patina; the ejector is also the usual nice dark plum color. The byf code on the toggle and "42" date on the chamber are crisp and clear and all serialized parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. The barrel is not stamped with a bore measurement but otherwise bears the correct inspection and proof marks. The checkered black Bakelite grips are correctly un-numbered and remain in near excellent condition showing just a few scuffs around the edges, and some minor dings and handling marks. The pistol includes a correct fxo-coded blue-bodied black plastic base magazine with two "(Eagle) / 37" stamps. The plastic base of the magazine has a number of small cracks but appears to be structurally sound although it does not function the hold open unless it is manually pressed in further. This Luger is an excellent example overall and a great opportunity to add an all-matching "black widow" to your collection. (138658-192D31135) {C&R} (1200/1600) SOLD FOR $2,185.00
