serial #884h, 9mm, 4" barrel with a good bore showing moderate pitting along its length with evident rifling. The metal surfaces retain about 85-88% original thinning blue, the loss due to an overall thinning and operational wear; there are a few deep nicks on the left side of the frame. The toggle is marked with a "42" assembly code, the chamber is dated 1940 and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. The checkered walnut grips rate very good with an overall flattening of the points, they are stamp-numbered to the gun on their interior and the left grip has an "SE-655" acceptance stamp on its interior as well, matching the receiver acceptance stamps. Included is a single blue-bodied, aluminum-based magazine numbered "884h" with a "+" and the body is stamped with a "122" Haenel code and two "SE-37" acceptance stamps which rates very good overall with minor operational wear of the blue.
