serial #8077l, 9mm, 4" barrel with a mostly bright very good plus bore with a hint of light frosting. The metal surfaces of this 1936-dated pistol retain about 90% original blue with most of the loss due to the gripstraps worn to smooth gray patina, light high edge wear, a couple light freckles, some tiny pinprick pitting along the high edges and some scratches near a hastily cleaned area of light pitting on the right rail. The small parts retain very strong straw color with scattered silvering and freckling. The sear spring, magazine release spring and breechblock pin retain very strong lovely fire blue. All of the markings are crisp and all visible serialized parts including the grooved firing pin are matching. The checkered walnut grips are un-numbered and remain in very good plus condition with some areas of compressed points, dings and tiny chips. Two blue-bodied aluminum base magazines, one coded 122 with "(Eagle) / 37" Waffenamts, and another "(Eagle) / 63" are included. They are numbered to guns 9334i and 9307k, respectively. Overall a very nice example of an early Mauser Luger. (138578-19) {C&R} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1,265.00
