serial #13836, 45 ACP / AR, 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this January, 1918, made revolver retain about 90% original blue with thinning finish on the grip frame, high edge wear, turn ring, freckling and handling wear. The concentric grooved hammer and trigger retain bold case-hardened colors with the trigger face and hammer spur worn to pewter. The original factory grips have been replaced with checkered rubber Pachmayr presentation grips that rate about excellent. The upper left frame has Col. Gilbert H. Stewart inspection mark which remains crisp as do the other markings. The revolver features an F.D.L. Wondersight adjustable rear sight. This sight is installed into the upper sideplate screw (upper sideplate screw is not present) and is easily removed. Overall, a nice revolver that can be returned to original with a few parts.
