54 cal., 31 1/2" heavy octagon barrel with false muzzle and starter and bright about excellent bore which shows a couple spots of light oxidation. The barrel is a deep gray and plum brown patina with toning to pewter on the sharp edges, showing sparsely scattered light dings and handling marks from the years, more prevalent nearer the rear end of the arm. Features a globe front sight and a long tang rear, the top flat is maker marked "HB Harrington/Lebanon NH". The brass side plates, bottom plate and triggerguard are a dull goldenrod patina. The hammer is primarily an oxidized gray-brown with the nice faceted buttplate and iron patchbox a pewter patina. The curly maple stock rates about very good showing 2" cracks left and right and with a nice flared left-side shadowline cheekpiece. The false muzzle and short starter are included. A rather nice, and very heavy, underhammer picket rifle which likely shoots one hole groups. (37944-25) {ANTIQUE} (700/900) SOLD FOR $1,725.00
