serial #250046, 32 Police, 6" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this very lovely revolver retain 99% plus original blue. The bright-polished sides of the hammer are immaculate and unstained. The face of the firing pin bushing shows only the lightest loss, there is absolutely no evidence of flash on the face of the cylinder and the forcing cone and breech of barrel remains bright and in-the-white; in fact the cylinder will not rotate due to hardened oil and it is clear that this arm is unfired, and likely unturned, since leaving Hartford. The checkered walnut silver Rampant Colt medallion grips rate excellent to as-new, they are un-numbered and fit precisely. Features adjustable Patridge style front sight and square-notch rear. This revolver comes in its original purple-tone hinge-top box with "Special Target" surcharge end label as well as additional surcharge of "Patridge Sights", it is serial numbered to the gun on its underside. The box itself rates about excellent showing only the lightest scattered scuffs or abrasions and a tiny ding in top of the lid. Overall just a lovely 32 Police Target, as close as one gets to new-in-the-box from 1925. (38659-14) {C&R} (1500/2000) SOLD FOR $3,795.00
