Description Update (3/14/18): Holster strap is separated

serial #2434c, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this 1940-dated pistol retain about 97% original blue with some high edge wear, a few tiny dings, handling marks and areas of thinning along the barrel. The ejector is the usual deep plum color and all of the markings are clear. The checkered walnut grips are stamp-numbered to the gun along with "(Eagle) / 655" Waffenamts and remain in very good plus condition showing some handling marks, a few areas of lightly chipped points and minor staining. There is a small asterisk stamp forward of the eagle proof on the right side barrel and all serialized parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. The pistol includes a number of accessories including two original magazines, brown leather flap holster and loading tool. Both magazines are mismatched blue-bodied aluminum base one numbered 2808u with "(Eagle) / 63" and the other 7725z with a "+" and "(Eagle) / 655". The loading tool is a correct "(Eagle) / 655" Waffenamt-stamped example showing some moderate oxidation staining and pinprick pitting. The holster is a very nice dark brown 1940-dated example made by C. O. Gehrckens of Pinneburg, is properly "(Eagle) / WaA279" marked and remains in very good condition showing some light scuffing, minor staining and some cracking on the strap. A superb Luger pistol rig that would make an excellent addition to any collection. (138585-16) {C&R} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $2,415.00
