1002. Remington-Elliot Ring Trigger Deringer

serial #9514, 22 RF, 3" five barrel cluster with oxidized bores showing some faint rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this pistol retain about 85% older reapplied nickel finish showing scattered flaking to gray patina throughout, light staining and areas of clouding. The ring trigger is mostly a dark gray patina. The barrel markings are soft and partially visible and the surfaces are embellished with foliate scrollwork and punch-dot shading although the engraving has softened significantly. The smooth antique ivory grips are scratch-numbered "14" showing a small chip at the heel of the right panel, some nice striations and rich patina. The barrel cluster is matching the frame and the mechanism appears to function normally. Still a rather attractive example of these popular pepperbox pistols. (138750-7) {ANTIQUE} (400/600) SOLD FOR $1,955.00
