serial #90648, 6.5 Daudeteau, 31" barrel with a near excellent bore that shows a minor pit. The metal surfaces are mostly a dull gray patina with scattered traces of arsenal blue and some light oxidation staining. The rear sight base retains most of its fire blue, the brass triggerguard is a dull yellow patina with some light dings and oxidation staining. The hardwood stock rates very good with scattered dings and handling marks. The barrel is marked "St. Dovis", the rear of the receiver is dated 1881 and these rifles were converted in France for Uruguay into the 6.5mm Daudeteau round. The bolt parts are matching but the other parts appear unnumbered or mismatched. A very good example of an interesting military rifle. (208737-534) {ANTIQUE} (400/600) SOLD FOR $546.25
