1109. Remington New Model Pocket Percussion Revolver

Click on images for enlarged versions.

serial #13728, .31 cal, 3 1/2" octagon barrel with an about good bore showing oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this revolver are a dark blue-gray patina, remnants of older reapplied blue, scattered spots of light pitting, high edge wear and small dings. The barrel address is still quite visible with a few small areas obscured by old light pitting and softened edges. The smooth walnut grips are pencil-numbered to the gun and remain in very good condition showing some high edge wear, small dings, scratches and handling marks. The front sight is missing, there is a moderate chip on the left edge of the forcing cone and the hammer nose shows a small old repair. No number on the cylinder is legible and the barrel is matching the frame. The mechanism functions well with excellent timing and lockup just a little loose overall. Overall a good "example" piece of these little Remington pocket revolvers. (138753-52) {ANTIQUE} (400/600) SOLD FOR $517.50
