113. Early Ruger No. 1 Medium Sporter Falling Block Rifle

serial #995, 243 Win., 26" medium weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is an interesting rifle with matching numbers on the receiver and the hand-fitted breechblock however the stock and forearm are numbered "6634" and the forearm is marked "AH". The early single single line address barrel retains 99% original blue. The action retains 98-99% similar original blue with a couple pinprick impact marks and specks of oxidation along the lower right edge of the reciever. The checkered pistolgrip buttstock rates near excellent showing lovely grain particularly on the right side and a few shallow vertical marks on the side flats. The semi-beavertail forearm with early style wrap around checkering rate near excellent with a few very light handling marks. Rifle is equipped with a quarter rib and includes a set of factory rings.
