13. U.S. Model 1903A4 Sniper Rifle by Remington Arms Company

serial #3420982, 30-06, 24" 8-43 dated Remington Arms Company two-groove barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 98% arsenal gray-green parkerized finish with the magazine cut off nicely blued, as-is the bolt and all its component parts, likely the original Remington finish. The walnut pistolgrip stock and handguard rate very good plus to near excellent showing a very light arsenal cleaning and with a very crisp "RA" and "FJA/(ordnance wheel)" cartouche on the left side of the butt with a very light "RA" beneath. There is a single circled P firing proof and a single un-circled P firing proof on the face of the pistolgrip. Properly mounted to the receiver with the correct ring and base set it is a U.S. M-82 telescopic sight, serial #38242, with single post reticle and bright excellent optics. The scope itself rates very good plus with only minor blue loss and has both its sunshade and rubber eyecup intact. Included with the arm is a green canvas web sling which is appropriate for the gun. A very attractive and very correct U.S. Model 1903A4 sniper that would be wonderful for any U.S. martial collection. (38809-12) {C&R} (3000/5000) SOLD FOR $4,140.00
