serial #22503, 11.25x23mm (45 ACP), 5" barrel numbered to another gun (655) with a moderately pitted bore. This Norwegian Model 1914 pistol is 1941 dated and falls into the serial number range of guns made under German occupation, early guns were not Waffenamt marked. This gun retains about 85% plus original black enamel over phosphate finish with scattered edge wear and scratches, moderate oxidation and pitting on the top front of the slide blending into an area of pewter and brown; operational marks and dispersed flaking finish. The black double diamond checkered factory grips rate about very good with a few scattered light dents, finish wearing on the screw escutcheon diamonds and some compressed diamond points. Except as noted, this pistol has all appropriate parts correctly serial numbered to the gun for the time period it was made plus the magazine release was numbered. The slide has a Konsberg crest above the serial number and Jorgen Bjornholt inspection mark on the slide under the date. The pistol includes a single unmarked blued finished magazine with no lanyard loop probably of post war or commercial manufacture. A strong example of an early Nazi occupation made Model 1914.
