serial #6476, 7 mm Rem. Mag., 26" medium weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a nice BHS/S26M rifle in a rare configuration. The early single line address barrel retains 99% original blue while the action retains about 98% original blue with a small pit on the right side of the receiver and light contact wear at the rear of the lever release. The hand-fitted breechblock is numbered to the gun. The checkered pistolgrip buttstock rates excellent with nicely figured curly grain and the Alexander Henry Forearm rates excellent as well with one or two small blemishes. The buttstock and forearm are both numbered "6476" and the forearm hanger is marked "BB". The rifle is sighted with a ramp front sight and folding rear sight on quarter rib. Of the 7918 non-prefixed rifles made, only about 256 were manufactured in this caliber and only seven in this caliber and configuration. An excellent four-digit 1969-manufactured No. 1 medium sporter. (58821-25) {MODERN} [Stuart Floam Collection] (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $4,025.00
