22. U.S. M620A Trench Shotgun by Savage-Stevens

serial #25583, 12 ga., 20" plain barrel bored cylinder with an about excellent bore. Originally a blued arm, the metal surfaces have toned over all to a faded plum brown and tarnished to a pewter gray patina showing light operational wear and with the bright-polished surfaces of the bolt showing a bit of oxidation staining. The smooth pistolgrip buttstock and forend rate very good to very good plus with scattered minor dings and handling marks from the years. The appropriate sling swivels are in place and the handguard-bayonet lug assembly is tight. There are ordnance bomb and "P" firing proofs on right of barrel at breech and left side of receiver, the rear left also "U.S." marked. The gun seems to function well mechanically and is a very good example of the Stevens Model 620A Trench Gun. A green web military style sling is included. (38809-61) {C&R} (1000/2000) SOLD FOR $2,070.00
