serial #641, 243 Win., 22" light weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a beautiful AB/S22L rifle, the early single line address barrel and action both retaining 99% plus original blue, the hand-fitted breechblock is numbered to the gun. The wood is equally attractive with the checkered pistolgrip buttstock showing flowing shell flame grain on the left side with only a tiny blemish or two from the years and the semi-beavertail forearm having early style wrap around checkering. The buttstock and forearm are numbered "641" in black pen, the forearm hanger is unmarked. The rifle is equipped with a quarter rib and includes a set of early style vertically split rings in a red cloth bag and a factory manual. The included August 24, 1990 dated factory letter confirms configuration and lists the rifle as being shipped in October 1967. There were approximately 181 pre-prefix rifles manufactured in this caliber and configuration; this example in a low three-digit number and as-new condition missing only the original factory box. (58821-4) {C&R} [Stuart Floam Collection] (1800/2400) SOLD FOR $1,495.00
