serial #63, 22 LR, 26" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel of this rifle retains about 95% original blue with light silvering at the muzzle, some small areas toning to gray patina, a few small scratches, tiny dings and freckling. The frame retains about 90% wonderful case-hardened colors, the loss attributed to the lever and lower tang toning to silvery patina, some light high edge wear, a few small scratches and handling marks. Most of the screw heads show some light slot damage and the checkering on the hammer has been removed ground off at some point. The smooth walnut forend and pistolgrip buttstock remain in very good plus condition, the upper tang a little proud of the stock, the forend showing some finish wear, there is a thin 3/4" hairline crack at the right side above the lower tang and some small dings, dents, light scratches and handling marks scattered about. The sling swivels are intact, there is a front blade sight present, a pair of target blocks and a blank in the original rear sight dovetail. A very fine example overall that would probably make for a wonderful shooter. (138799-18) {C&R} (800/1200) SOLD FOR $747.50
