serial #9285, 30 Luger, 4 3/4" barrel with a good bore showing some oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this pistol retain about 40% thinning reapplied blue toning to smooth gray patina throughout with high edge wear and some spots of cleaned light pitting underneath the newer finish. The trigger and toggle lock retain some strong remnants of straw color in the more protected areas with the remainder worn to silver. The checkered walnut grips are stamp-numbered to the gun and remain in about very good condition showing some overall smoothing, light dings, handling marks and both panels are just a little bit loose. The Federal Eagle and DWM logo are still quite crisp, the front of the frame is stamped "GERMANY", the un-grooved firing pin and grip safety are un-numbered and the remaining serialized parts are matching. The pistol seems to operate well and includes one un-numbered bright-bodied wood base magazine in very good overall condition although it does not hold the bolt open. A good entry level example for the budding collector. (138050-322) {C&R} (800/1200) SOLD FOR $1,150.00
