Click on images for enlarged versions.

serial #3372, 42 cup primed, 5 1/2" ribbed octagon barrel with a very near excellent bright bore. The top of the barrel bears Plant's address with Merwin & Bray agent mark on left flat. The barrel and cylinder bear an even gray brown patina with a little salt & pepper pitting along some of the edges but surfaces remain nice with all markings remaining clear and legible. The brass frame bears a lovely untouched brass patina with generous traces of original silverplated finish in protected areas. The two-piece rosewood grips rate near very good with a repaired crack in the right panel which begins at the frame and runs to the screw escutcheon. Action is crisp and tight. (18737-147) {ANTIQUE} [Dr. Louis C. March Jr. Collection] (800/1200) SOLD FOR $690.00
