serial #3661053, 30-06, 24" 11-43 dated Smith Corona barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barreled action retains 98% original dark gray parkerizing, as do the rear bands, the front-most band and bottom metal a gray-green parkerized finish with some light wear on the bow of the guard. The bolt and all of its component parts are blued and have the un-milled, squared safety lug with "R" stamped at the bolt root. The scant pistolgrip Keystone field replacement stock has a very good circled P firing proof as well as "FJA" and ordnance wheel markings which are crisp. The stock and handguard rate very good overall with a few scattered minor handling marks and dings, consistent with an issued arm which saw very light use. A stamped steel front sight protector is included as is a light green web 1 1/4" military-style rifle sling. Really a very attractive example overall that but for its stock, appears all Smith Corona. (38809-187) {C&R} (700/900) SOLD FOR $632.50
