serial #56831, 44 Special, 5 1/2" replacement barrel with an excellent bore. This 1912 made revolver retains about 85% plus original blue finish with most of the loss to the thinning grip frame along with high edge wear, scratches and turn ring on the cylinder. The fire blue on the hammer and trigger remain strong with moderate wear from use. The grips are replacement checkered walnut thumb rest target style by Herrett's. They rate about very good to excellent overall with a few light dents, dings and handling wear. There are no factory rework marks or numbers but the barrel and possibly the cylinder are later replacements with some light to moderate tool marks present on the frame at the barrel junction. Timing and lock up are good and the front sight was "regulated" by one of the owners to adjust point of impact. An early New Service that should have many years of shooting left in it. (88784-4) {MODERN} (700/900) SOLD FOR $632.50
