serial #70SC14984, 45 ACP, 4 1/4" barrel with an excellent bore. This 1972 made series 70 pistol has had some light custom work and the slide refinished. The metal surfaces of the frame retain about 97% original matte electroless nickel finish with light edge wear and a few handling and operational marks. The slide has been refinished with a hard chrome substance with the top a soft matte and the flats a soft sheen exhibiting light handling marks and a few minor pits under the new finish. The blue finish on the bushing, slide stop, magazine release and grip screws rates about excellent with minor edge wear and slight slot damage. The grips are factory wrap around rubber checkered Pachmayr with gold Rampant Colt medallions that rate excellent. One of the previous owners enhanced the guns combat and shooting capabilities by installing a white outline Millett Mark I fixed combat rear sight, Millett white line ramp front sight, ambidextrous thumb safeties, beavertail grip safety with memory pad, Pachmayr rubber checkered flat mainspring housing and stippled the rear of slide. The pistol includes a single Shooting Star magazine with the base drilled for bumper pads. This gun should be great for home defense, concealed carry or the range.
