serial #99002, 45 ACP / AR, 51/2" barrel with an excellent bore. This 1918 made revolver has been refinished to factory quality by an unknown professional with no factory or arsenal rework marks found. The metal surfaces retain about 99% reapplied blue with a turn ring on the cylinder, a few scattered light scratches and old pits visible under the new finish. The standard hammer and trigger retain bold case-hardened colors but the lanyard loop has toned to gray. The smooth walnut factory grips are numbered to another gun and rate near excellent as lightly refinished showing a few light handling marks under the new finish. The ordnance bomb on the frame was softened slightly during the refinish but the "[eagle] / S6, S26 & S24" inspection marks on various parts remain quite crisp. The gun still times and locks up correctly and all appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun. A very nicely refurbished Model 1917. (88784-8) {C&R} (600/800) SOLD FOR $431.25
