serial #K118921, 38 Special, 4" barrel with an excellent bore. This 1951 made five-screw revolver has very strong condition with about 97% original blue showing very light high edge wear, three small areas of pitting on the barrel, a turn ring on the cylinder and light handling marks. The standard trigger and .500" target hammer have some wonderful case-hardened colors. The pistol has a set of altered diamond checkered walnut factory "coke bottle" grips that rate excellent. This set of grips started as "N" frame coke bottles and were altered to fit a "K" frame. The fit to the backstrap and knuckle are fair but the refinish of the altered areas is excellent. The revolver features a Baughman ramp front sight and white outline micro adjustable rear sight. Timing and lock up are excellent and all appropriate parts are numbered to the gun. A person with some woodworking talent can probably improve the fit of the grips but it is still a nice example of an early Combat Masterpiece. (88825-134D33310) {MODERN} (700/900) SOLD FOR $632.50
