serial #410084, 30-40 Krag, 30" barrel with a good bore that shows scattered pitting and frosting but evident rifling. The barrel and bands are mostly a dull brown patina with some light dings at muzzle and scattered traces of original blue. The action and triggerguard are a dull gray patina with scattered oxidation staining. The walnut stock rates very good with an older added oil finish, a partially faded 1903 dated cartouche, a strong circle "P" firing proof, the expected scattered dings and handling marks. The rifle is equipped with a 1901 rear sight and a 1901 handguard. A solid example of the U.S. Army's first smokeless powder infantry rifle. (208803-13) {C&R} (600/800) SOLD FOR $517.50
