serial #30025, 44-40 WCF, 6 1/2" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 98% plus original nickel finish, the loss being a few very sparsely scattered very light speckles of oxidation and a light turn ring with a few tiny flakes in the cylinder stop lead cuts. The hammer and trigger show very good color case-hardening with some slight silvering on right of trigger and one small spot of oxidation on hammers left side. The checkered walnut pre-magna style grips with silver S&W medallions rate very good and very good plus, the right grip with a few minor dings along its lower edge, they are un-numbered but their fit is near perfect. All of the numbers are matching and lock-up is just a tad loose. Overall a really excellent example in a rare chambering, rarer yet in nickel, it is surmised with only 23 such examples having been produced in this barrel length.
