serial #XF159, 7.62x25mm Tokarev, 4 1/2" barrel with a good bore showing frosting, light oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this 1938-dated pistol retain about 90% original blue showing high edge wear, gripstraps thinning to gray patina, a small spot of pitting at the rear of frame, scattered freckling and spots of light oxidation staining. The black grooved Bakelite grips with star and "CCCP" logo remain in near excellent condition showing a few small chips on the left panel and some further light handling marks. The barrel and slide are matching, the fire control group is stamped with the last two digits of the serial number and all other visible parts are stamped with the Tula star. The included magazine is also serial-numbered to the gun on the floorplate and further stamped with the Tula star. The pistol remains in original configuration with no added safeties or import markings. A really excellent example overall of a pre-war Tokarev with the rare added bonus of a matching magazine that would be very difficult to improve upon. (138831-2) {C&R} (1500/2000) SOLD FOR $2,185.00
