serial #5565c, 9mm, 4" barrel with an about very good bore showing some light frosting a few small spots of minor oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this 1916-dated pistol retain about 90% mix of original and reapplied blue, mostly the frame and toggle train retaining the original blue while the receiver and barrel have been refinished with more of a matte blue. There is moderate high edge wear, freckling, small spots of light oxidation staining, pinprick pitting at the high edges and some light pitting underneath the blue on the barrel and receiver. The sideplate is mostly a smooth gray patina and the small parts retain some strong straw color on the trigger and magazine release, the takedown lever and safety show remnants of reapplied blue and the ejector has been lightly cleaned. The checkered walnut grips are stamp-numbered to the gun and remain in very good condition showing some light handling marks, tiny chips and the top corner of the left panel a little shy of the frame near the safety. All of the serialized parts are matching including the un-grooved firing pin and the pistol includes one reproduction magazine in fair overall condition. This pistol may prove to be a good shooter.
