975. U.S. Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle by Remington

serial #3319398, 30-06, 24" 12-42 dated 4-groove Remington barrel with a fair bore that shows several patches of pitting and oxidation but strong rifling. The metal surfaces retain 85% arsenal parkerzied finish with some oxidation on the rear sling swivel assembly, further oxidation on buttplate, scattered fading and thinning. The walnut stock rates very good with a dark oil finish, a partially faded circled "P" firing proof, strong "RA-P" rebuild stamp, a partially faded "RA" marking, a partially faded "FJA" cartouche, a couple light chips around butt, scattered dings and handling marks. The front band and bolt handle are both "R" marked indicating that they are of Remington manufacture. A leather M1907 sling is included that is marked "C.E.B." and it shows scattered crackling.
