serial #686199, 12 Ga, 20" plain barrel choked cylinder with a very good bore that shows some oxidation towards muzzle. The metal surfaces retain 80% original blue with some operational wear, light tool marks on top of the receiver, a few light dings, scattered fading to brown and some oxidation blemishes. The walnut stock rates good with a strong boxed "WB" cartouche, a strong ordnance wheel cartouche, a large chip on the right side behind frame, a 1" crack behind left of frame, some flaking around butt, a few abrasions, scattered dings and handling marks. The replacement black checkered buttplate has a couple chips and displays overall white staining. This shotgun has a solid frame, the buttstock is a World War Two military replacement with sling hardware, it falls above the accepted World War One serial number range for military riot guns and there are no ordnance markings on the metal. The barrel is properly "CYL" marked and this shotgun does however appear to be a non-military riot shotgun. A solid example for the budding martial arms collector.
