1018. U.S. FP-45 Liberator Pistol by G.M. Guide Lamp Division

45 ACP, 4" barrel with a heavily oxidized and pitted bore. The grind mark on the barrel is fairly smooth with light tool marks and one prominent welding imperfection. The metal surfaces have been mostly cleaned to pewter with moderate pits evenly scattered on the frame and remnants of original finish. The barrel and trigger are mostly brown with light oxidation stains. The cocking knob is in excellent condition although it is dark from handling and bears cavity mold number 1. This four-hole pistol has no crescent F breech mark, remains fully functional but the trigger pull is a little heavier than normal and there is no floorplate. This gun has no proof marks but the barrel is numbered "233" and the font is similar to the guns that went through a German proof house. A nice variation for the upstart collector. (86229-N9) {C&R} [Elliott Riggs Collection] (500/700) SOLD FOR $805.00
