serial #200407, 45 ACP, 5? barrel with a bright very good plus to near excellent bore which shows only some very sparsely scattered very light oxidation or perhaps the scattered pinprick pit. The metal surfaces retain about 85% original blue, the loss is due to overall even fading and toning to brown, with wear to pewter on the sharp edges and contact points. The diamond checkered walnut grips rate very good plus with only a few minor dings or compressed points, the right grip showing a bit more wear. Included with the arm is a single two-tone lanyard loop magazine with pinned base rating very good overall. All markings including the left side inspectors marking remain crisp and clear. This pistol was shipped December 8, 1917 with 1899 others to the Commanding Officer at Springfield Armory. (38903-45) {C&R} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $2,875.00
