serial #1895, 38 cal., 24" round barrel with full magazine and an about very good bore. The barrel and magazine show a gray brown patina overall with some patches of pitting scattered about. The action bears an even brown patina overall with a few scattered light scratches and some isolated areas of pitting. All markings in metal remain clear and legible. The plain walnut stocks rate good plus to about very good retaining some added finish and showing handling marks. The stocks fit nicely and there are a couple small and extremely minor cracks on the rear of the forend at action and the beginning of a small crack at the top tang which does not flex and barely warrants mention. The rifle is sighted with a German silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight and a standard open sporting rear sight. A good solid Scharf rifle. (18315-130LTS66) {ANTIQUE} [Lewis T. Steadman Collection] (2500/3500) SOLD FOR $2,415.00
