320. Early Ruger No.1 Light Sporter Falling Block Rifle

serial #224, 222 Rem., 22" light weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. The early single line address barrel retains 99% original blue while the action retains 99% original blue toning to an even plum purple. The hand-fitted breechblock is numbered to the gun. The checkered walnut pistolgrip buttstock rates excellent with clean crisp checkering and a spot of flaking finish on the left comb. The semi-beavertail forearm rates excellent with a couple minor handling marks. The buttstock and the forearm are both numbered "224", there is no visible date stamp and the forearm hanger is unmarked.
