327. Early Ruger No.1 Light Sporter Falling Block Rifle

serial #2962, 308 Win., 22" light weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a nice AH/S22L rifle, the early single line address barrel retains 99% original blue with 99% original blue on the action, the lever transitioning to smooth purple. The hand-fitted breechblock is numbered to the gun. The checkered walnut pistolgrip stock rates excellent having a deep reddish-brown color and attractive wavy figure on the left side of the stock. The Alexander Henry forearm with early style wraparound checkering rates excellent with crisp clean checkering. The buttstock and forearm are both numbered "2962", the forearm has a "FEB 14 1968" and the forearm hanger is marked "AH". Equipped with quarter rib, include with the rifle is a set of factory rings and manual. A lovely early No.1 light sporter rifle.
