serial #305080, 45 Colt, 5 1/2? barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel retains about 92% original blue, the areas of loss a plum brown and pewter patina, primarily on the left side of the barrel. The cylinder is similar showing perhaps 85% original blue with numerous rotational marks, the ejector rod housing toned to a pewter gray. The frame shows a nice 95% color case-hardening with the right side quite vibrant, the left muting slightly. The hammer shows some very good color case-hardening, the trigger with good blue, the straps a mix of pewter gray, plum brown and original blue, primarily on the guard. The revolver has a set of checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips which are scratch-numbered to the gun on their interior and rate very good. The gun seems to time well and lockup properly and was manufactured in 1908. This attractive revolver has enough condition to have solid investment potential while still being able to be taken to the range. (38864-43) {C&R} (3000/5000) SOLD FOR $3,450.00
