Click on images for enlarged versions.

serial #451265, 32 Winchester Special, 26" part round part octagon barrel with a mostly bright near excellent bore showing some light frosting in the grooves. This rifle features a number of special orders including the barrel, button magazine and pistolgrip buttstock. The barrel is mostly a blue-gray patina showing some high edge wear and a rather heavy coat of dried old preservative. The action is mostly an even pewter-gray patina showing some areas of light pitting, scratches and small dings scattered about. The smooth pistolgrip walnut buttstock and forend remain in about very good condition with the forend showing a little added finish, scattered dings, scratches, handling marks from the years and the black hard rubber pistolgrip cap is intact showing significant smoothing. There is a repaired 3" crack at the top edge on the left side of the forend, a repaired 1" square chip at the heel and a previous owner has lightly inscribed his name "Dan Adams" on the left side buttstock and "Dan 56" on the right. The rifle is sighted with semi-buckhorn rear and Marble's white bead front sights and a Lyman peep sight has also been installed on the tang. This example has seen some honest use through the years but is still very nicely-appointed special order rifle. (138856-18) {C&R} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1,092.50
