Click on images for enlarged versions.

serial #155, 30 Luger, 4 3/4" barrel with an oxidized bore showing evident rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this pistol retain perhaps 75% hastily reapplied blue with areas toning to gray-brown patina throughout, high edge wear, areas of light pitting underneath the blue and freckling. The small parts have been refreshed, show evidence of light buffing and are now mostly a pale straw color. The sear is a plum hue while the sear spring, extractor and toggle pins show restored fire blue. The un-numbered checkered walnut grips remain in about very good condition showing some areas of lightly compressed points, tiny chips, dings and handling marks. There is a small "(B)" proof on the left side receiver, the extractor is marked "CARREGADA" and the few numbered parts are matching except for the sideplate which is numbered "15". The mechanism seems to function fine and the pistol includes one bright-bodied wood base magazine numbered "9485b". (138737-1) {C&R} [Dr. Louis C. March Jr. Collection] (800/1200) SOLD FOR $977.50
