serial #377802, 45 ACP, 5? barrel with a fair bore which shows pitting its full length. The metal surfaces on this nice 1911 retain about 97 to 98% excellent quality restored blue, the principal edges remaining sharp and the lettering clear with remnants of some light pinprick pitting beneath, primarily on the slide, but with a handful of tiny dings around the front sight, also blued-over. The diamond checkered walnut grips rate very good to very good plus with only a couple minor dings and light wear along the butt edges. Included with the gun is one very nice two-tone magazine which rates very good plus to about excellent. A very attractive 1911 overall that one must really look at twice to realize is refinished. This arm shipped July 22, 1918 in a shipment of 15,000 guns to the Ordnance Depot, Bush Terminal, Brooklyn New York. (38873-302) {C&R} (700/900) SOLD FOR $1,380.00
