559. Marlin Model 93 Lever Action Short Rifle

serial #A1981, 32 Special, 20" octagon Special Smokeless Steel barrel with a bright near excellent bore showing a few tiny pinprick pits here and there. The metal surfaces of the barrel and magazine tube retain about 82% original blue with spots of moderate freckling and oxidation staining scattered throughout, a few small dings at the high edges, scratches and handling marks. A number of the screw heads show some light slot damage and there are some small dings at the magazine end cap. The action retains some faint hints of case-hardened colors, still particularly strong in some of the more protected areas and mostly toned overall to a silvery gray patina showing some fine pinprick pitting and moderate oxidation staining. The straight grip walnut buttstock and forend remain in very good condition as lightly refinished showing some small dings, scratches, minor flaking and handling marks throughout. The rifle is sighted with a silver blade front and standard sporting rear and seems to function well mechanically. with the barrel appearing original, as-manufactured, in every respect.
