serial #111195, .44 cal, 8" round barrel with a moderately oxidized bore showing good rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this revolver are mostly a dark brown patina with moderate oxidation staining and spots of light pitting scattered throughout. The barrel address and "COLTS / PATENT" on the frame a rather soft but still mostly visible and the cylinder scene is mostly obscured. The brass triggerguard is a mottled dark ocher patina showing a couple small dings and the initials "MWK" lightly scratched into the frontstrap. The smooth one-piece walnut grip remains in good condition with some old smoothed-over chips at the toe, scattered dings, scratches and faint remnants of cartouches on either side; only the number ?5? is legible but it is clearly original to the gun. All of the serialized parts are matching including the wedge. This revolver remains a salty old warhorse with a healthy amount of character. (138619-6) {ANTIQUE} (700/900) SOLD FOR $920.00
