serial #RM9140, 6.5 Carcano, 17 1/2" barrel with a bright very good plus bore showing some light frosting and a tiny pinprick pit or two. The metal surfaces of this 1941-dated carbine retain about 92% arsenal-quality blue with some moderate freckling throughout, scattered scratches, spots of light oxidation staining, some light pinprick pitting underneath the finish on the bolt and receiver and the bayonet toning to a pleasant dark plum-patina. The forward triggerguard screw shows some moderate slot damage and the trigger retains some nice case-hardened colors. The beech stock remains in very good condition showing a few moderate abrasions on the right side butt and toe, some smaller dings, scratches and handling marks. There is a visible "(Crown) / FAG / 42" cartouche on the left side, a faint but visible Waffenamt on the toeline and the stock is mismatched numbered "SN4120". The butt compartment still holds an original pull-through cleaning jag. A very nice example overall probably re-conditioned by the Nazis. (138840-36) {C&R} [Roy Jinks Collection] (500/700) SOLD FOR $460.00
