94. Rare Early Ruger No.1 Light Sporter Falling Block Rifle

serial #4792, 280 Rem., 22" light weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a nice AHS/S22L rifle in a rare configuration. The early single line address barrel retains 98% original blue, loss due to some very light silvering on the front sight band. The action retains 98% original blue, loss due to very light contact wear on the lever release, the lever is toning to purple. The hand-fitted breechblock is numbered to the gun. The checkered walnut pistolgrip stock rates excellent with crisp clean checkering and the Alexander Henry forend with early wrap around checkering rates excellent with a couple light blemishes. The buttstock and forearm are both numbered to the gun, the forearm has a "Feb. 14 1968" date stamp and the forearm hanger is marked "AH". Rifle is equipped with a standard front sight and folding rear sight on quarter rib. Included is a set of scope rings and swivels.
